Recorded in 1967 but not released until 1978, Lee Morgan’s The Procrastinator stands in hindsight as one of the monumental achievements of the trumpeter’s prolific late-60s output. Featuring a phenomenal sextet with Wayne Shorter, Bobby Hutcherson, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter & Billy Higgins, the date produced sublime performances of six pieces by Morgan & Shorter. This Blue Note Classic Vinyl Edition is stereo, all-analog, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes, and pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal.
