Bobby Hutcherson’s 1965 album Components captured 2 sides of his musical personality with a sextet featuring Freddie Hubbard, James Spaulding, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter & Joe Chambers. Side A presented post-bop gems by Hutcherson like “Little B’s Poem” while Side B explored Chambers’ avant-garde pieces. This stereo Tone Poet Vinyl Edition was produced by Joe Harley, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analog master tapes, pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI, and packaged in a deluxe tip-on gatefold jacket.
